Bedbugs

Bed bug preparation instructions:

It is critical to our service that you properly prepare for our extermination and follow all protocols listed below

• Beds should be stripped of all sheets and blankets then thoroughly vacuumed.

• The bed, mattress and box spring in each room should be placed upright against the wall.

• All bed linens should be washed with hot soapy water in order to kill and remove any bedbugs and their eggs that may be hiding or attached.

• Do not put the clean linens into the same bag used prior to washing. Bed bugs may have infected the old bags.

• Bed frames should be completely disassembled in order to treat all crevices.

• Sweep and vacuum all floors, mattresses, box springs and frames, as well as furniture and upholstery. A vacuum with a disposable bag is recommended. Make sure to seal bag in plastic and dispose of after vacuuming.

• Night stands, dressers and bureaus should be completely emptied. Place contents into plastic bags and place outside the room or in a bathtub.

• All clothes should be washed with hot soapy water and dried on high heat. Plastic bags used for transport should be disposed of. Laundry bags should also be washed using the same instructions.

• Be sure all clothing stored on or near the floors and beds is also washed.

• Rooms that have excessive furniture should be emptied to ensure we can do a complete treatment of the area.

• All baseboards should be accessible.

All residents and pets should be prepared to leave your home for at least 4 hours after the completion of the treatment. Pregnant women, newborn babies (up to 6 months), asthmatics and persons with severe allergies should vacate the unit for a minimum of 8-12 hours.

In the future, if an infestation is suspected, a treatment should be scheduled immediately. All preparation techniques should be utilized.

If there are any questions concerning your treatment please give us a call at 908-757-6161.
You may continue to see or experience bed bug activity for up to 10-14 days after initial treatment and in some cases even longer. A second treatment is required in order eliminate any newly hatched eggs. We recommend having this treatment 10 to 14 days after the initial one. In extreme cases further treatments may be necessary.

Upon our arrival, a resident must be available to answer the door. All preparations must be completed prior to your appointment. Please understand the effectiveness of our treatment relies upon the quality of your preparation. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
