Odorous House Ants

The odorous house ants, also known as sweet ants, appear in anything sweet to the taste. They nest near moist areas, in cracks, and inside wood damaged by termites. They do not pose a public health risk, but they can still contaminate food storage areas.

Ants

Pharaoh Ants

Commonly found in hotels, grocery stores, hospitals and office buildings. Often one colony can break off into multiple colonies making treatment very difficult.

Pavement Ants

These ants varying black to brown in color, will eat just about anything they touch, such as meats, grease, live and dead insects, and many human foods. They forage in trails up to 30 feet and have been known to climb masonry walls to gain access to food storage areas. Although they do not pose a health risk, they can contaminate food.

Carpenter Ants

These pests attack wood previously damaged by moisture. They will bore and penetrate your home through any means.

You should particularly keep an eye out for trees and shrubs around your home. If they’re touching your house, they can act as a natural bridge right into it. Once the ants invade your home, they’ll pose a significant threat to your property and its safety.
